On Monday May 24, 2021, the Salesian community of IFAK KIMIHURURA
solemnly celebrated the feast of Mary Help of Christians.
The Salesian works at KIMIHURURA encompasses several sectors of apostolic activity, namely the secondary school (IFAK), the primary school (EPAK), the nursery school (EMAK), as well as the public chapel. For each sector the Eucharistic celebrations took place at different times.
EPAK celebrated the holiday in anticipation on Friday, May 21.
The IFAK students had the Eucharist on the morning of the 24th, but in two “shifts”, to comply with the health protection measures against Covid 19.
We cannot ignore all the preparation, both sporting and spiritual. During the preceding days there was a championship in several sports disciplines.
The atmosphere was very good and the young people were happy to have celebrated this great feast of our Mother, the Virgin Mary Help of Christians.
Concerning the Christians who attend the public chapel of KIMIHURURA, the celebration took place on the same day of May 24 in the afternoon. Everything took place in a festive atmosphere and it made the joy not only of the people but also of the community which is the core which animates.
After the Eucharistic celebration, there was the sharing of the meal in which some forty people took part: the community of IFAK, that of the Provincial House, Christians of the central committee, Salesian Cooperators.
May Mary Help of Christians, “she who did everything”, continue to intercede for the Salesian Family so that we may achieve holiness.
