IFAK Don Bosco Kimihurura Elects New Student Leadership Committee

By Cyprien NIYOMWUNGERI

On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the students of IFAK Don Bosco Kimihurura elected a new 12-member Student Leadership Committee. This team is expected to play a vital role in promoting the institution’s mission of nurturing morally upright and academically excellent students.

The Principal of IFAK, Rev. Father Jean Bosco Ntirenganya, emphasized that the committee’s success will depend on the active participation of all students. He encouraged the students to support their newly elected leaders.

“They need your hands to help us help you. Everyone should strive to leave a positive impact wherever they go. Support them, listen to them, and collaborate to ensure they serve as a bridge between the school administration and the students.” Rev. Father Ntirenganya.

Rev. Father Ntirenganya further explained that the various positions within the committee represent the diverse facets of student life at IFAK. He stressed the importance of teamwork, stating, “All sectors are represented, and their main task will be assisting us in the proper implementation of our goals. Engage in discussions and agree on the best course of action.”

While acknowledging the many positive initiatives already underway at IFAK, the principal insisted that there is still a room for improvement. He urged the committee to listen to the concerns of their peers and relay them to the administration for action.

“You’ve made good choices, and I am confident things will go well. By doing their job well, the committee will help us achieve what we aspire to offer you,” he added.

Mugisha Benjamin, the newly elected Head Boy, affirmed that the committee is committed to working alongside both the students and the administration to ensure the continued excellence of IFAK’s education and character development programs.

Head Girl, Bwuzu Linda Cleo, echoed this sentiment, highlighting their focus on collaboration, listening to their peers, and driving positive change within the school.

The new committee is expected to have a significant impact on the student experience at IFAK, working toward a brighter and more cohesive school community.
