Institut de Formation Apostolique de Kimihurura(IFAK)
IFAK (Institut de Formation Apostolique de Kimihurura) is a Private secondary School located at Kimihurura sector, Gasabo District in Kigali city. The school belongs to the Salesians of Don Bosco, a religious congregation, a catholic Church Faith based organization recognized and registered as a legal entity as “Oeuvres de Don Bosco au Rwanda”.
The School has been operating since 1964, serving the nation through education and evangelization of the young people. Actually, the school has both ordinary level and Advanced level. In advanced level the school has six combinations namely PCM (Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics), PCB(Physics, Chemistry and Biology), MCB (Mathematics –Chemistry-Biology), MCE (Mathematics-Computer Science-Economics) ,MEG (Mathematics-Economics-Geography) and MPC(Mathematics-Physics-Computer Science
Ecole Primaire d'application de kimihurura (epak)
EPAK is one of the schools established by the Salesians of Don Bosco in 1990. It is located in Kimihurura cell, Kimihurura sector, Gasabo district in Kigali City. This school was built to be a training center for students who were following the education department at IFAK. After 1996, the department of education at IFAK was replaced by the Department of Sciences and EPAK remained the government aided school offering the education to the young people at its vicinity. This school follows the values of Don Bosco, the founder of the Salesians and its mission is to serve young people, promoting quality education, focusing on both Christian and Rwandan cultural values. All this help to achieve the goal of helping young people to become God-fearing and honest citizens.
Don Bosco Nursery School
Like EPAK, Don Bosco Nursery and Primary School (DBPS) is the Nursery section of IFAK, founded by the will of the supreme Board of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Africa of Great Lakes (AGL) to harmonise its educational activities run by the Community of Kimihurura_IFAK. The Provincial Chapter decided to create a Private School Complex with three levels: Nursery School, Primary school and secondary school for the purpose of our schools, improving quality of education and keeping up the performance.

The parish of Mary Help of Christians Kimihurura, carries out the Parish Pastoral Project in the Archdiocese and in the city of Kigali, with special attention to the integral education of young people.
Communaute salesienne
We, Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), form a community of the baptized who, docile to the voice of the Spirit, intend to carry out the plan of their Founder in a specific form of religious life: to be in the Church signs and bearers of God’s love for young people, especially the poorest. We live in a fraternal community, we practice the “evangelical counsels”, chastity, poverty and obedience, we dedicate ourselves to the mission to the young.
These are the elements that characterize our life of charity towards God and the brothers. The mission gives our whole existence its concrete tone, in it we find the way to our sanctification.
